Springtime Review
I am Jude. Spring has finally sprung. I can feel it. It’s a time for growth, rebirth and new beginnings.
And accompanying its much anticipated return are longer days, warmer weather and the welcome sounds of songbirds again.
The changing seasons also provide the perfect opportunity to revisit goals, renew efforts and take the first tentative steps towards something new.
It allows us to press the reset button and encourages important course corrections to ensure that we are moving in the right direction.
It’s necessary that we have constructive conversations with ourselves. Reflection and self-awareness are critical components of personal development.
What positive thoughts and behaviours could begin creating more joy and fulfillment in your life? What tiny habits could improve your current circumstances?
Consider new possibilities, figure shit out and take corrective ACTION.
Do something! Improve the quality of your relationships, invest in your mental wellness or develop new skills.
Focus on activities that provide you with a sense of accomplishment and inspire you to Be Better.
Warning! Whenever we attempt to become better versions of ourselves, we inevitably experience resistance. Anticipate fear, failure and self-doubt. Struggle is an unavoidable part of the process.
That’s why it’s important to start small and celebrate all of your individual successes. In fact, it’s critical.
Set reasonable goals and acknowledge every exercise, early morning and positive food choice. Remember, positive emotions promote change!
Keep putting in the work, regardless of any setbacks or distractions. Recognize your efforts to start new habits and eliminate old ones. Remain committed to the plan and trust the process.
The results will amaze you.
I am a living proof.
I am still very much a work in progress, but I am making some meaningful changes and I am happier than I have ever been.
I like who I am. I am proud of who I am becoming through my everyday efforts – and that’s big. I could never say that before.
